Gretchen von Gohren Juge never forgot how much she loved riding horses bareback in Lake Vista in her youth or driving with the top down in her red Volkswagon bug convertible in the late 1960s. She never forgot how she danced the role of Clara in Lelia Haller Ballet Classique’s production of the Nutcracker in the 1950s, or won the Camp spirit award at Camp Kohahna in Michigan. A UNO graduate and life-long resident of Lake Vista until Hurricane Katrina, Gretchen was a dedicated teacher of court reporting and helped many students become certified professionals as Director of Education at the former Professional Institute of Court Reporting in Kenner.
