Greta Mae Reed, 88, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana. She was born on June 27, 1922 in Chinook, Montana to John and Ethel M. (Quantrill) Harbottle.
Greta spent most of her early years east of the mountains. In 1944 she married Albert Reed in Superior, Montana and they moved to Kalispell in 1945. They operated various businesses over the years from Pay and Save Grocery on Main Street, Reeds Fruit Stand to Reeds Potato Farm. Greta very much enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband; gardening, cooking and crocheting in her spare time.
Greta was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years and is survived by her son, Oren Reed and wife Muriel of Kalispell, MT; two grandsons, Jeremy Reed and wife Kris, and their daughters, Alyssa Reed and Britny Lewis; and Justin Reed and wife Heather of Lehi, UT; two nieces, Marcy Thompson and husband Ken; and Judy Hays and companion Mark Loyd.
