Greta Gray Griffin Jones, 83, passed away on October 11, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mullens, W. Va., to the late Lila Gray and Marion Edward Griffin. Growing up there with her twin sister, the late Marion Elizabeth Wilson, Greta made life-long friends whom she dearly cherished.
Greta attended Radford College in Virginia, and on a blind date, she met David Albert Jones, who was attending VPI (now Virginia Tech.). They married in 1953, and were devoted, adoring best friends for 63 years. They settled in Cocoa Beach in 1961 so that Dave could work for the space program.
