Greg Shupe, son of Elwin and Ruth (Sellhorst) Shupe, was born on March 28, 1956 in Omaha. He graduated from Millard Senior High in 1974. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from Oct 1974 to Oct 1978. On May 25, 1979 he married Teri Steinauer in Millard. They were blessed with two children, Colby and Sawyer.
Greg owned and operated Shupe Construction for over 22 years. He then pursued his dream job by started his own fishing tackle company – Nebraska Custom Tackle.
Greg was the commander of the Madison Legion Post 35. He loved his family and his greatest joy was walleye fishing with friends and family in the reservoirs of South Dakota. His other passions were working in his yard, gardening, cooking and having a few beers with his friends.
He is survived by his wife Teri of 34 years, his sons Colby of Lincoln and Sawyer and girlfriend Nicole of Omaha, sister Brenda (Pat) Eisenmenger of Omaha, stepmother Velma Shupe of Columbus, mother in law Mary Ann Steinauer of Omaha, step brothers and sisters Steve (Jody) Dreifurst, Sandy (John) Szelag, Tonja (Vince) Lusche, Lori (Kevin) Busse, Kim (Jerry) Alt all of Columbus, uncles John Sellhorst and Curt Wilson, aunts Larue, Doris and Loretta Shupe, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Jeff and Mike, and grandparents.
