Gregory Scott Smith, 53 of Wake County passed away unexpectedly at home surrounded by his family Saturday night, December 31, 2022
He was born January 24, 1969 in Wake County to Charles Gregory Smith and Onie Mae Coppedge.
Scott loved to hunt and fish on the Pamlico sound, and it was there he killed his first deer. Friends and family would say that Scott was very well mannered and polite to everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother Onie Mae Coppedge and step father Sid Coppedge; father Greg Smith and step mother Sandy Smith; son John Gregory Smith; twin daughters Sandra and Jennifer Smith; step-daughter Mackenzie Thompson and step brother Richard Smith; step-granddaughter Oaklynn; Bobbi his special guard cat;many dear friends especially Cameron West and Blake Perry that were thought of as his own.
