Cpl. Gregory Robert Avila, 22, loving father of Allison Rae, husband of Tara Avila of Ronan, son to Yvette Rodriguez and (The Papa) John Patterson of Charlo, brother to Ashley Avila of Denver, Colo., and grandson to June Minton of Brush, Colo., relinquished life Saturday morning, June 23, 2012, in Ronan.
Gregory was born in Brush, Colo. In 2008 he graduated with honors from Ronan High School. Immediately following graduation, Greg joined the Marine Corps. He proudly served his country in two overseas active duty tours.
After four years, he was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps on June 4, 2012.
