Gregory High, age 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 30, 2021 at his home in Oceanside, California. Greg was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 16, 1961 to his parents Raymond and Linda High. His family moved to Southern California soon after, where Greg spent his childhood. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Lee High in 2004.
He is survived by Mariellen, his beloved wife and soulmate of 32 years, his children, Devin, Nathan and Jessica. All children live in the San Diego area. He is survived by his loving father, Raymond High, sister Peggy L. Fry both of Centennial, Colorado, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Greg attended Arcadia High School graduating in 1979. He attended Menlo College of Menlo Park, California during 1981 and 1982. Greg graduated with a degree in psychology from California State University, Fullerton in 1985. He played collegiate baseball, a sport that he loved throughout his life.
After graduation, Greg used his natural talents and people skills helping companies serve customers. He worked for various companies throughout Southern California and enjoyed problem solving and helping others. His career began with Mitsubishi but most recently he worked for Yamaha Corporation of America in Buena Park, California.
Greg was a very loving husband, devoted father and friend. He was a gentle, caring person who treated everyone he met with kindness. Greg loved anything that included a ball. He was an outstanding athlete who especially enjoyed tennis and golf. He devoted his spare time to teaching and coaching youth baseball. He is terribly missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
