Gregory L. Lasky, age 70, of Vesper, WI passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Greg was born July 27, 1947 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Grace (Reesch) Lasky. He married Eliza Paterson on September 22, 1979 in Evansville, WI and they moved to Vesper, WI. She preceded him in death on May 6, 2011. Greg was employed as a millwright at Consolidated Papers Inc., later Stora Enso, from 1979 until his retirement in 2007. He also founded and owned G. Lasky Trading Co, where he sold the amber and crafts he collected during his travels to Europe.
Greg was a generous man, and was quick to lend a helping hand or share a laugh with family and friends. He was also an extraordinarily hard-working man, who was very mechanical. He could fix or build just about anything he put his mind to. He enjoyed travel, going on extended visits to Lithuania. He loved music (especially the Rolling Stones), car racing and spending time riding his motorcycles.
Greg is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Todd) Follendorf of Dane, WI and their children: Emma, Jacob and Mason; granddaughter, Ariel Pritchard-Lasky; one brother, Bryan (Cherrie) Lasky of the town of Rome, WI; former wife and mother to Crystal, Kate Hardy (Tim) of Madison, WI and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Eliza, son Jedediah, daughter-in-law Christine Pritchard, exchange student Krystijonis Karinauskiene and girlfriend Cindy Wolosek.
