Greg Hanley, 63, of rural Sheridan died Friday, December 23, 2016 in rural Earlville. Greg was born on November 24, 1953, in Mendota to Warner and Rosemary (Hughes) Hanley. He was a 1971 graduate of Serena High School. He was a lifelong farmer in Freedom Township and was employed at Caterpillar in Aurora for 24 years.
He married Linda C. Blauser on August 24, 1979, in Naperville. He served on the boards of the Harding Community Building and the Harding Cemetery, and was a member of the LaSalle County Farm Bureau. He was keenly interested in all types of Aviation and held a private pilots license. He is survived by his wife, Linda, his mother Rosemary Hanley of rural Earlville, 2 sons, Devin L. Hanley, of Madison Wisconsin, and Ned P. Hanley, of Chicago; 3 sisters, Mary Beth (Chuck) Gunier, of rural Somonauk, Jayne (Daniel) Mason, of rural Norway, and Julie (Karl) Tirevold, of rural Somonauk, and two brothers, Tim (Debbie) Hanley, of Morris, and Joe (Rita) Hanley, of rural Earlville. He was preceded in death by his father.
