Gregory J. Lima,74, of Davenport, FL died on Tuesday November 4, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived in Staten Island, NY and Lakewood, NJ before moving to Florida three months ago. Gregory graduated Brooklyn Polytech in Brooklyn, NY where he achieved a Bachelors and Masters degree in Chemistry.
Gregory was a Flavor Chemist working for Virginia Dare in Brooklyn, NY. He was a Eucharistic Minister and parishioner at St. Mary of the Lake RC Church. He was a past secretary of the Men’s Club and a member of the camera club both at the Fairways in Lakewood, NJ. Gregory was a past president of the National Society of Flavor Chemists. He was a Mets and Jets fan and an avid golfer.
He was predeceased by his parents Santo and Josephine Lima. Surviving is his wife Theresa (nee Santostefano) Lima of Davenport, FL; three daughters Lisa Cashman of Beachwood, NJ, Kathleen Owens of Bayville, NJ and Milissa Aronson of Summit, NJ; two sisters Gerry Friedman of NY and FL and Marie Lima of FL; seven grandchildren Nicole Dito, Nicholas and Andrew Owens, Joey Cashman, Amanda Owens, Cameron and Caleb Aronson.
