Gregory Francis “Greg” Scalise, 53, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his residence. Greg was born on October 7, 1966 in Erie Pennsylvania to Larry and Julie (Kuhner) Scalise. Greg is survived by his parents Larry and Julie Scalise, two brothers Daniel (Kathy) Scalise, Christopher Scalise and a sister Anne (Brett) Wolfe; he will be greatly missed by his 4 nephews, Joey and Drew Wolfe, Jack and Brady Scalise and niece Olivia Voros. Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rose and Natale Scalise and Christine and Rudy Kuhner.
Greg lived in Georgia for most of his adult life, until moving back to this area a few years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was a huge Bulldog fan, “Go Dawgs”. Greg loved to cook, listen to music, especially the Rolling Stones and REM. He also enjoyed flowers and plants of all types and was an avid animal lover, having had numerous dogs over the years. A voracious reader, Greg’s favorite book of all time was To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
