Gregory E. Hayes, 51, passed away on August 22, 2021 at 2:53a.m., under the care of and surrounded by those who loved him. Gregory grew up in Union City, GA and graduated from Campbell High School of Fairburn in 1988.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He loved a home-cooked meal and could cook one up better than anyone. He had a career of over 30 years in the tank washing business, 27 of those years being with Qualawash. Most recently he worked for AllSouth Environmentals. He had just recently gotten his CDL. Once at Qualawash, he saved a man’s life from a burning building. He was a devoted employee throughout all of his working years.
Gregory passed away after a short, aggressive battle with Medulloblastoma Lymphoma, a Cancer of the Brain. He is survived by his daughter Lindsey; his son Joshua (Kelly); his grandkids Carter and Triston; his parents Billy and Sue Hayes; his sister Sandy (David) Dutton; his brother Chris Hayes and his partner Greg Iytkowski; and his ex-wife Tanya DeHosse Hayes, Mother of his Children. He is preceded in death by his brother Jason Hayes. He is currently searching out the finest hunting grounds and fishing hole in Glory.
