Gregory Allen Davis was born to John N. Davis and Inell Davis on March 31, 1959, in Buffalo, New York. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Buffalo, NY, where he sang and played the lead and bass guitars. Later, he joined Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Alabama. Gregory was surrounded by his loved ones at his residence when he departed this life on May 10, 2022.  

Gregory was a 1976 Seneca Vocational High School graduate in Buffalo, NY. Upon completion of high school, he worked for many years in production. He believed in working hard and giving his best in everything he did. He was a long-time member of the Ascension Lodge No. 72 in Hillsboro, Alabama as well as a van driver and usher for his church. 

Gregory, also known as G, had a personality larger than life, never meeting a stranger. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with family and friends. Whether it was attending car shows or detailing, he loved everything related to cars. Because of his jovial personality, anyone in his presence could always count on Gregory to share stories filled with laughter and fun. 

His father, John N. Davis, and his stepmother, Mrs. Nina Denson, preceded him in death.

Gregory Allen Davis leaves to cherish his memories Mary Davis, his loving and devoted wife;  Inell Davis, his loving mother; His children, Tyrone (Casey), Amherst, NY, Tyshawn, Grant, AL, Shanell, Buffalo, NY, Shaquita, Decatur, AL, and Shaniqua (Jeremy), Florence, AL; one stepdaughter, Sharonika Littles, Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Garland (Cheryl) Davis, Huntsville, AL and Mario Davis, Hillsboro, AL,; and two sisters, Barbara (Robbie), Chattanooga, TN, and Wanda, Athens, AL; one godbrother, David Townsend, Charlotte, NC; Willie Williams, godfather of Buffalo, NY, James and Rosa Littles (parents-in-law), Bennettsville, SC; 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four aunts, two uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

The family would also like to recognize several friends for their support: Reuben Bankhead, Jr., Hubert Scott, Jr., and Reverend Ralph Marshall.
