Gregory Allan Inskeep, DVM, age 61, of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Noblesville, Indiana on July 16, 1959, the son of Philip G. and Lonna (Purdy) Inskeep. Greg graduated from Rensselaer Central High School, the Class of 1977. He studied at Purdue University earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 1981 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. On December 26, 1982, in Rensselaer, he married the love of his life, Tammy Kay Miller. Greg opened & operated Noah’s Ark Pet Hospital in Rensselaer from 1992 to 2003. When not working, the avid outdoorsman, Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was affectionately known to always greet people with a friendly “Hello.” He had such a great combination of intelligence and wit and was quick to laugh and so much fun to be around. Greg was fond of and donated numerous hours to the Jasper County 4-H Fair and had attended Tri-County Bible Church in Rensselaer.
Greg is survived by his loving family, wife, Tammy, children, Bryan (Megan) Inskeep of Rensselaer, Tiffany (Chad) Yoder of Lone Tree, IA, Bradley (Aimee) Inskeep of Farmland, IN, his parents, Philip G. & Lonna Inskeep of Rensselaer, and sister, Andrea (Russ) Maienbrook of Rensselaer. He was Grandpa “Papa” Doc to eight grandchildren, Kinzie, Charlie and Hadley Inskeep, Luke, Owen and Adam Yoder, and Cooper and Dylan Inskeep. Also survived by parents-in-law, Larry and Lynette Miller, brothers and sisters in-law, Kerry (Amy) Miller, Todd (Lori) Miller, Kevin (Stephanie) Miller and Lanell (David) Whitehead, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Baby Yoder and Abigail Inskeep.
