Born in Atlanta, GA on September 16, 1959, he was the son of Lucy Elizabeth Carnes Walker of Greensboro, GA and the late James Edward Walker. He graduated from Norcross High School and the Atlanta Art Institute.
He is survived by his mother, Lucy Walker of Greensboro, GA; two brothers, Michael Walker and his wife Pamela of Kennesaw, GA and Mark Walker of Auburn, GA; a niece, Sarah Walker; a number of other relatives and friends.
