Yorktown-Gregory A. Parks, 55, passed away early Monday morning, March 3, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on February 27,
1959, in Muncie, the son of Robert and Barbara (Nickels) Parks-Staker.
Mr. Parks had worked in the manufacturing of Automobile Parts for approximately 20 years having served as a Foreman for both Muncie Tool and Die and most recently Reliance Machine prior to his disability in 2008. Gregory enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR following his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the Indianapolis Colts Football Team.
Survivors include three daughters, Shannon Sailers (husband-Dean), Heather Parks (fiancé-Jimmy Phillips) and Melissa Dakins (husband-Dustin), all of Muncie; fourteen grandchildren; his mother, Barbara Parks-Staker, Indianapolis; two brothers, John Parks, Indianapolis and Steven Parks (wife-Paula), Tyrone, Oklahoma; one sister, Faye Pollock (husband-Sam), Maysville, Kentucky; special friends, Chris Bell, Patricia Boggan, both of Muncie and Mike and Carrie Stipp, Yorktown; Former Spouse, Brenda Laudermilt (husband-Terry), Muncie.
He was preceded in death by, his father, Robert Parks in 1988 and one sister, Cathy Parks in 1969.
