Greg was born September 16th, 1948 to Lyle and Geraldine Dyson (Cote) in Concordia, KS. He graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in 1966, studied electronics at North Central Kansas Area Vocational Technical School.
Greg joined the United States Air Force for 8 years. He then graduated from Fresno State University with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and enlisted in the United States Navy. He retired as a Lieutenant 12 years later after serving as a nurse in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
Greg married Maurene Richard in August 1968. Together they had two children, Brian and Cassandra. He then married Leslie Rhodes in October 1981. Together they had one child, Alynn. Greg, Leslie and Alynn moved to Sterling in July 1997, where he worked in nursing administration.
Greg always enjoyed photography and after his retirement he enjoyed being involved in Sterling Kiwanis Club, Sterling Lions Club, Sterling Elks Lodge and volunteering at the Visitor Center.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lyle Dyson and mother, Geraldine Dyson.
Greg is survived by his wife, Leslie Dyson; daughter, Alynn (DJ) Hass of Yuma, CO; daughter, Cassandra (Jason) Martin of Fresno, CA; son, Brian (Ellen) Dyson of Baltimore, MD; first wife, Maurene Miller of Fresno, CA; brother, Bruce (Pam) Dyson of Spring Hill, TN; sister, Kendra (Steve) Albin of Kansas City, MO; sister, Lynette (Dan) Murphy of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Nathan and Rachel; nieces and nephews, Emilie, John, Kyle, Kelley, Mattie, Gabe and Kolbi; animals, Sally, Gwen, Toby, Annie, Daisy, Chiara and Stella; and many close friends known as “The Gang.”
