Gregory Thomas Burris of Low Gap Arkansas was born August 19, 1961 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Mary Sue Burris of Harrison and the late Homer E. Burris.
Greg died Wednesday night at his daughters home in Texas at the age of 60.
He is survived by his daughter Rachael (Amy) Burris-Alcala, mother Mary Sue Burris, grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Robert Dooms, Jayson Hufford, Jackson Hufford, Brooks Alcala, and Asher Alcala, and siblings Doug Burris, Dwight Burris, and Charlotte Lunsford and a host of nieces, nephews that admired him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his father Homer E Burris, his wife Terri Burris, his daughter Sarah Burris, and his sister Anna Varnell.
Greg was a pillar of strength, compassion, and unconditional love. With his tenacious grit, servant’s heart, and kindness to all, especially the ones who needed it the most, Greg was God’s earthly angel. He loved without exception. His heart was as pure as the rain with a servant mentality. Greg served and blessed so many lives with the highest of integrity. He served the community of Hensley for over 50 years, driving up and down the roads in brownie, one arm outside the window and a smile on his face. With a fierce exterior and soft interior, Greg made the perfect son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. God rejoiced when his earthly angel joined him, along with so many others in heaven. Well done, my son. What a perfect example and image of Christ you were.
