Graydon Sherred Adams, Jr. 94, of Clyde, died at his home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Sherred was born in Prairie Depot, Ohio on August 14, 1920 to Graydon S. And Florence (Dicken) Adams, Sr.
He attended schools for the deaf in Findlay, Fremont and Columbus.
Mr. Adams was a member of the Good Shepherd of the Deaf Lutheran Church.
For over 44 years, he worked in manufacturing, including, the Clyde Cutlery, CPS, Bendix and finally Whirlpool Corp, where he retired in 1985.
On October 22, 1949, he married Kathryn Ann Bowers. She survives, along with their children, Jon S. (Eileen) Adams, Hampton, VA; Kevin L. (Kimberly) Adams, Fremont and Cheryl A. (Gregory) Schmidt, Oak Harbor. Nine grandchildren: Eli Adams; Lenore Hijazi; Bryan Adams; Kristen Lejeune; Betsy Schoendorf; Nick Adams; Alex Schmidt; Ian Schmidt and Tyler Schmidtz, ten great grandchildren, as well as one brother, Dr. Don (Caroline) Adams, Montpelier, Ohio and one sister-in-law, Bernice Adams, Myrtle Beach, SC.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ned Adams.
