Gary E. Rydleski, 70, of Peru, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Gary was born on August 8, 1950 in Peru to Edward and Dorothy (Pienta) Rydleski. He was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School and received s B.S Degree in Physics from Illinois State University. He worked briefly as a teacher following college but then devoted most of his time to caring for his mother and grandmother. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Peru, and a former member of the Peru Library Board. He was a kind man, a good neighbor, and became an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by cousins, including Jane (Tom) Setchell of Ottawa, Nancy Thyfault, of
Aurora, Carol (Dan) Larson, of Dallas, Texas, Judy (Charles) Gaebler, of St. Louis, and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
