Grant Earl Eason, 85, passed on to eternal life on February 15, 2022, surrounded with the love of his wife and children. He was born in Delta, CO on February 19, 1936 to Graton and Mary (Tibbett) Eason. At one year of age, they moved to Oregon for a short time and then settled in Wilder, Idaho where Grant grew up on a row crop and dairy farm. Farming, riding horses and his ‘49 Ford were his passions.

He married Donna Lea Tipton from Homedale on February 18, 1956. They farmed for three years then moved to Nampa where he bought a truck and transported mobile homes. He also had a low-boy truck for hauling travel trailers for Kit Mfg. Company in Caldwell until 1967 where he later advanced to an RV sales manager. He eventually became an RV salesman and then retired from Bob’s RV in 2000.

He and Donna were 4-H leaders of the Lone Star Riders 4-H Club for 15 years maxing out with 32 kids on horses, competing in county 4-H fairs and local parades. Their two daughters Merilie and Valerie and son Darin are accomplished equestrians.  Grant often reminisced about his part in building the Owyhee County rodeo arena.  They are proud of their three grown children, eight grandkids and 10 greats. Family sports activities, including rodeo were highlights of Grant’s life, along with camping and boating.

Travels through the years include cruises to Alaska and Hawaii, trips to Jamaica, San Jose Mexico, Disney World and Epcot Center.

Grant enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and then whistle pig shooting with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Earlene Dexter, Jeanne Eason and JoAnn Sappington (Don). Survivors are wife Donna, daughters Merilie (Doug) Blickenstaff, Valerie Tiegs and son Darin (Debbie) Eason; Brothers Don (Sam) Eason, and Bob (Colleen) Eason.
