Grandville Joseph “Joe” Revette, known to his loved ones as “Papa Joe”, native of Meridian, MS and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Wednesday August 10, 2016. Mr.Revette was preceded in death by his parents, Granville and Janie Revette, and his sister Lynn Williams. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Geraldine “Jerrie” Revette, his children; Cindy Middleton (Johnny), Joey Revette (Brandy) and Pattie Chavers (Michael), his grandchildren; Justin Middleton, Kyle Revette, Camryn Revette, Lucas Middleton , Jacob Lewis, and two siblings; Julie Dunn (Mike) and Larry Revette (Debra).
He was a graduate of Murphy High School class of 1959. He retired in 1991 as Captain of the Mobile Fire Department after 28 years of service, and also worked at U-Haul and Dueitt’s Battery for many years. He was a member of Overlook Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed Alabama football, fishing, Nascar, coaching softball and watching his grandchildren play sports.
