Graham Kinnersley England, age 89 of Easton, adored son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at home. Born in West Cardiff, Wales, the son of the late Richard and Florence England, he had been an Easton resident for 38 years. Mr. England proudly served as an officer in the British Merchant Navy during World War II, surviving being torpedoed twice in the North Atlantic. Following the War he received his degree from the Cardiff University. He immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1951 where he served as Treasure for the Elgin Watch Company. He soon began his 24-year career with McGraw-Hill Ryerson Publishing serving as Executive Vice President. In 1967 he transferred to McGraw-Hill International Publishing in New York City and left in 1975 to become President of CBS International Publishing in New York, retiring in 1990. Graham traveled all over the world during his publishing career, but his abiding love was for his family. He will be forever in our hearts and we will remember his humor, sunny disposition, fabulous business mind and grace under adversity. Survivors include his beloved wife, Sally Anne England of Easton, four children, Barbara Janet England-Kernes of La Grangeville, NY, Graham David Robert England of Chagrin Falls, OH, Kathleen Anne England of Toronto, CA and Robert Townsend England of Andover, CT; a sister, Joyce Rosalie England-Watson; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Richard John Leslie England.
