Grady L. Greene, age 75, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Chucky, Tennessee, on January 23, 1933, he was the son of Henry Franklin and Anna Mae Humphrey Greene. Grady graduated from Brown High Schooling 1950 in Atlanta, GA. He then joined the Air Force and completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base. In 1954 while hospitalized at Lackland, he met Thelma Sue Sitton. They were married November 30, 1954. In 1956 they moved to Atlanta, GA where he was an Air Traffic Controller. When he retired in 1978, they returned to Boerne, Texas. Grady then obtained a Brokers license and worked for Guy Chipman Real Estate. He was a long time member of the Boerne Optimist Club; Grady had been very active in the annual antique show. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. His hobbies included membership in the Boerne Turn Verein and the University Bowl in San Antonio, as well as his famous”grilled sirloins.” Mr. Greene is survived by Children, Chip (Nancy) Greene, Ken (Paola) Greene, Pam (John) Grooms, and Jeff Greene; Seven Grandchildren; Sister Judy (Harold) Bevis.
