Gracie Lee Allen Walker Parker, daughter of the late Mr. Stephen F. Allen and Mrs. Ethelene Jackson Allen, was born May 1, 1934 in Greenwood, Louisiana. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt.
At an early age, she met and married Calvin Walker, Sr. Their union was blessed with five beautiful children, Margaret, Calvin Jr., Mattie, Calvester and Kathy.
Gracie began her walk with the Lord at an early age.
Her eldest daughter, Margaret, and her sister, Johnnie B. Norman both preceded her in death. Sister Gracie Lee Allen Walker Parker entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at approximately 8:00 P.M. at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California.
She leaves to cherish her memory four loving children, Calvin Samuel Walker, Jr. and Calvester Walker both of San Diego, California, Mattie Lee Steger of San Tan Valley, Arizona and Kathy Marie Clemons of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Ramona Walker; son-in-law, Gordon Steger; six sisters, Barbara Carter, Betty Baldswin, Jenell Wesley, Susan Allen, Ethel Larkins all of San Diego, California and Estella Payne of Chino Hills, California; three brothers, Henry Allen and Steve Allen both of San Diego, California and Oscar Allen of Little Rock, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Michelle Steger Vargas, Jamar Steger, Supricia Clemons, Bridgette Frye, Ernest Webb, Rebecca Webb, Inisha Berry and Maurice Berry; seventeen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; nephew, Roy “Rocky” Walker who was always there for her and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing, yet celebrate her life.
