Gracie Ann Chapman, a resident of Coffeeville, answered the Master’s call at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021. She was born Aug. 7, 1952 to the parentage of Leslie McConnell and Ella Bumpers. A member of Union Baptist Church in Coffeeville, Gracie served as a deaconess and on the Usher Board. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her beloved family.  

Gracie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pamela Bumpers; and sister, Lonie Mae Johnson. 

Left to cherish her memories is her loving husband, Clifford Chapman; three loving children, Veronica (Eric) Horn of Coffeeville, Tubarriton (Brandi) Chapman of Jackson and Whitney Harris of Mobile; grandchildren, Charmayne, Ashley and Kyla Chapman, Tyrus (Desiree) Horn, Bailee’ Harris and Skylar Hall; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Takia; sisters, Barbara Murphy and Christine Thornton; brothers, Randy Bumpers, Willie (Tammy) Thornton and William (Susie) Bumpers; aunts, Evelyn Bright, Alberta Robinson, and Williedean Boone;  sister-in-law, Etta Chapman; brother -in-law , O.J. Johnson; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and Jackson Home Health.
