Grace Witherow (nee Prickett), formerly of Burlington Township, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at her daughter’s residence in Browns Mills, at the age of 83. Grace was born in Medford and grew up in Vincentown. She attended school in the Rancocas Valley school system. Mrs. Witherow was also a member of the Vincentown Grange and met her future husband at a Grange dance. In earlier years she had worked as a teller at the Medford Savings and Loan Association. While living in Burlington, she was an active member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher.
She also participated in and made crafts for many of the church bazaars and fairs. Grace was also active in the PTA for the Beverly Road School, in Burlington Township. She also worked as the bookkeeper for the family business, Witherow’s Feed and Grain, in Burlington. Wife of the late Joseph F., she is survived by her daughter, JoAnn, of Browns Mills (the owner of “Just Make It Sew”, in Burlington), and her son and daughter in law, Kirk (a mechanical engineer with Lockheed Martin) and Chris, as well as her grandchildren, Sarah and Emily, all of Perkasie, PA.
