NIEWOONDER, Miss Grace, Kalamazoo, MI. Died Monday morning July 27, 2009. Grace was born October 18, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Eppe and Sinnie Schreuder Niewoonder. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Kalamazoo State Hospital for 41 years before retiring.
Grace was also a member of Second Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Niewoonder; and 3 sisters, Joyce Niewoonder, Winnie French, and Mildred Meade.
She is survived by a brother, Marvin Johanna Niewoonder of Plainwell; and 2 sisters, Wilma Leo Vander Horst of Grand Rapids, and Barbara Phillip Nieboer of Kalamazoo; a brother-in-law, Frank Elleen French of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
