On March 15, 2020 Grace Miriam Carter (nee Emerson) 95, passed away. Daughter of the late Herbert and the late Dorothy Emerson of Baltimore; devoted wife of 70 years to the late William S. Carter; beloved mother of Margaret C. Bass and her husband Michael and Robert P. Carter and his wife Patricia; loving grandmother of Christine C. Bass and her husband Matthew Stangle and Jacquelyn D. Bass and her husband Scott Johnson; cherished great-grandmother of Maddie Stangle.
Miriam was a devout Christian and loving family matriarch with an abiding love of all animals, especially “Boxer” dogs. Miriam was a patriot and proud of her service in the United States Navy during World War II.
