Grace Merrick Monahan, age 91, of Toms River, NJ died on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 at Community Medical Center Van Dyke Hospice. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Grace lived in Belmar for many years, moving to the Toms River area in 2000. Grace attended Holy Name Nursing School, Hackensack, NJ. She went on to work as a Registered Nurse for St. Francis Hospital, Jersey City, NJ.
Grace is a parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Monahan, in 2003. Grace is survived by her son, Thomas Monahan and his wife Shelia of Toms River. She is also survived by her daughters, Nancy Grish and her husband John of CT and Mary Ann Savacool and her husband Robert of Toms River, NJ. Eight grandchildren and four great-grandsons also survive her.
