Grace M. Mitchell, 94, of 739 Grace Street, died peacefully Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
Grace was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bastress, and dedicated her life to caring for others.
Born December 29, 1916 in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of Andrew and Catherine Warner Smith.
Surviving are her son, Andrew J. Mitchell of Nisbet; sisters, Mary Logan of North Stonington, Conn. and Gertrude Smith of Westerly, R.I.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, William J. Mitchell, and her children, William Mitchell, John Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell and Joyce Junek.
