Grace Irene (Reynolds) Howe, 89, of Newton died on Friday, November 26, 2021, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.
Irene, the daughter of Oren and Blanche (Weeks) Reynolds, was born May 12, 1932, in Warren County. She graduated from Milo High School in 1949. Irene was united in marriage with Bob Howe on September 19, 1952, in Long Beach, California. While Irene was primarily a housewife and mother, she also worked various sales jobs, including working at Forbes. Irene was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Irene is survived by her husband, Bob Howe of Newton; children, RaChelle Pultrone of Newton, Rhonda (Bob) Rowden of Iowa City, and Robbie (Kim) Howe of Newton; daughter-in-law, Deborah Howe; brother, Darl (Joy) Reynolds of Indianola; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Rex Howe.
