Grace Anne Young, 94, of Shrewsbury passed away at home on July 6. She was born and raised in Jersey City to the late George and Grace (Smith) Nickel. Throughout her life, Grace had many interests including ice skating, horseback riding and knitting. At a young age, Grace married Richard Young on his return from service in WWII. The two began their life in Jersey City, welcoming three daughters, later to relocate to Monmouth County to raise their family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years Richard in 2001 and her daughter Sharon in 2005. She is survived by her loving daughters Carol Augusty and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury and Joan Mayer of Spring Lake Heights. Also, surviving are her adoring grandchildren Holly, Shane and Lindsay; and her great grandchildren Bryce and Ryan.
