Grace Ann Barrett, 81, of Freeport, died November 17, 2015 at Manor Court in Freeport.
Born July 30, 1934 in Bryant, Iowa she was the daughter of Herman W. and Josephine (Nissen) Aude. She married Elbert “Dyle” Barrett November 12, 1955.
Grace worked at Micro Switch in Freeport for 33 years.
Her memberships included Kelly Springfield Retirement Club, Order of the Eastern Star and Friends Forever Humane Society.
She was an avid Trap Shooter.
Surviving are her husband of Freeport; her sister-in-law’s, Vernetta Aude of Mt. Carroll, Luella Aude of Savanna, Shirley Slothower of Chadwick and Nechia Wyatt of Freeport; her brother-in-law’s, Dean Barrett and David Barrett both of Freeport; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; Herman E. Aude, Edward G. Aude, Lester A. Aude, John J. Aude and Charles H. Aude, 2 sisters; Marian A. Aude and Bernice L. (Mrs. Louis) Weber, her brother-in-law; Louis (Mike) Weber and sisters-in-law; LaVonne (Mrs. Edward) Aude, and Doris Polly and one niece Barbara (Aude) Bucher.
