Gordon T. Shadle, 84 of Middletown, husband of the late Carol (Byers) Shadle, died at sunrise on Sunday, January 15, 2017 with his three loving sons by his side. Born in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, he was the youngest child of the late Raymond and Bessie Shadle. In 1958, after proudly serving in the U.S. Army, Gordon and Carol moved to Middletown where he began to work at Pratt & Whitney. He flourished in his career and after 44 years retired in 2002. Growing up on a farm led him to develop a deep respect and appreciation for the great outdoors.
