Upland: Gordon M. Krueger, 96, went to be with his Lord, Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2011, at Heritage Point in Warren, Indiana. He was born in Mulvane, Kansas, the son of Charles and Hulda (Uklenbrock) Kreuger. He received an AB in 1936 and MA degree in 1937, both in Chemistry, from the University of Kansas. He married Ruth Parks on July 25, 1939 in Dearborn, Michigan.
She preceded him in death on April 29, 2006. Mr. Krueger worked for Pet Milk Company in Greenville, Illinois. In 1955, he moved to Upland from Spring Arbor Michigan. He was a professor and department chair in Chemistry at Taylor University and retired after 24 years. He had been on the Library Board for many years and was a member of the Upland United Methodist Church.
He also enjoyed traveling. Survivors include a son, Dr. Gordon (Nancy) Krueger, Beaufort, South Carolina; a daughter, Juanita (Dr. Gary) Exman, Gahanna, Ohio; five grandchildren, Bethany (Paul) Schmitzer, Jonathan (Lesa) Exman, Katie (Brian) Corbin, Matt and Mark Krueger; four great-grandchildren, Alex, Bailey, Sammy Joy, and Jaxon. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Bowlby.
