Gordon Lee Norris,”Chii Makwa” age 31, also known as “Chippache” and “Cheeks” and of the Makwa (Bear) Clan unexpectedly began his journey to the spirit world on Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born to Alvina Norris and John Williams, Jr. on October 15, 1986 in Minneapolis, MN.

Gordon loved to spend time with his kids, his family and his friends. He enjoyed playing basketball and video games and listening to music. Gordon had a joy for life and was well known by numerous friends. Whenever he could, Gordon liked to sit at the drum and sing. His most recent employer was NWICDC in Bemidji. He had attended a peer support training course that he really enjoyed and was excited about applying his new skills to his job. Gordon loved all his co-workers. He was feeling very good about himself and his recent accomplishments in getting his life back on track.  Gordon also worked at the 7 Clans Casino in Thief River Falls, on and off, for numerous years and he was a PCA for a few years. Gordon loved helping and serving people.

Gordon is welcomed to the spirit world by his father; John Williams, Jr., little brother; Michael McNeal, grandfather; Wilber George “Micky” Norris, grandmother; Henrietta “Chubby” Neadeau, uncle; Frank Norris, sister-in-law; Yvonne Fineday and numerous great aunts and uncles.

Family that he leaves behind are his three children; Aliyah, Gabriel and Eli Norris, the mother of his children; Alicia Lyons, mother; Alvina Norris, step father; Bob McNeal, brothers; Reynaldo and Carlo (Amy) Norris, Robert (Stephanie) and Joey (Jerrell) McNeal, sister; Jessica (Johnny) Norris, many great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and too many friends to list.
