Gordon Kay Rock passed away April 27th, 2021 surrounded by family.
He was born on October 18, 1934 to T. Russell Rock and Vergie M. Fernelius.
Gordon married Mary Helen Fox on February 6, 1960 in Granite City Illinois. Their
Marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on October 20, 1960.
Gordon and Mary were together for 56 years until she passed away April 25, 2016.
Together they raised four children which over time was expanded to include
13 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. We are all grateful to have had him in our lives.
He will be missed.
Gordon worked in the accounting department of KSL retiring after 29 years.
He sang with the Men of Song for 52 years. He served in the Army 2 years.
Gordon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He served in various church callings including 2nd counselor in the bishopric and
Stake high council. He enjoyed all his callings.
Gordon is survived by his children: Thomas Kay (Lisa) Rock, Clinton. Kelly (Jesse) Barrera,
Ogden. Duane C. (Donna) Rock, South Ogden. Clyda Rock, Sunset.
Gordon was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, his parents and 5 siblings.
