Gordon James Miller, age 59, died of heart failure at the Aurora Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado on June 14, 2017. Gordon was born in Fort Scott on December 21, 1957 to Raymond Burl Miller and Elsie Adalene Lyon Miller. He attended schools in Des Moines, Iowa graduating from Hoover High School with the Class of 1976. Following graduation he was a railroad employee later settling in Denver, Colorado. Gordon married Brenda Weaver on May 24, 1997 in Denver and they later divorced. At the time of his death he was living in Commerce City and was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Boral Aggregate in Brighton, Colorado. Fort Scott, as well as, Des Moines, was a “second home.
