Gordon E. Curtis, age 88 of Midland, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at home with his family by his side. The son of the late Gordon D. and Hila L. (Connor) Curtis was born August 17, 1932 in Flint. He was raised and educated in Coleman and retired from Midland Public Schools after 32 years of service. He loved to work in the garden, camping, and flea marketing. He enjoyed drawing, painting, and was a faithful lifetime member of the Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, the former Ruth L. Rankey-Dana of whom he married June 28, 1951 in Coleman; children, Dianna (John) Ripke of Midland and their family, Dolores (Steve) Richmond-VanScoyoc of Evart and their family, Danny (Barbara) Curtis of Murfreesboro, TN and their family, Debra (Carl) Cunningham of Midland and their family, Dawn (Ken) Powell of Coleman and their family, and Duane Curtis of Lewiston and his family. Also surviving are his brother, Orville Curtis and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his son, Donald Curtis; siblings, Orlin and Arthur Curtis, Hila Barnhart, Wanda Roberson, Clarence and Paul Pelton and Violet Ruth.
