Gordon “Doug” DeHority, 66, Markleville, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana after a brief illness.

He was born December 14, 1941 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Madison County all of his life. Doug served his country in the US Army. He retired in 1992 from Fisher Guide Division of General Motors. Doug was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved to fish with his buddies and grandchildren. Gordon was an artist, enjoyed gardening and landscaping.

He is survived by his lifelong companion, Judy DeHority of Anderson; daughters, Connie Watson fiance Paul Delmolino of Anderson, Kimetta Chuck Spall of Anderson and Cheryl VanWagner of Pendleton; sister, Sue Bob Onstott of Foley, Alabama; four grandchildren, Shalee Spall, Shaefer Watson, Hanna VanWagner and Shane Delmolino; two nieces, Deanne Mace and Jana Taylor; one nephew, Robert Onstott and special friends, Charles Campbell and Carter Munshaur.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon J. & Dorothy Love DeHority.
