Gordon Donald Simpson (affectionately known as Don) passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2013. He was born to Carl and Esther Swedberg Simpson on May 29, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Don married the love of his life, Betty Jo LaDou Greenman on December 18, 1967.
They spent 45 wonderful years together. Before moving to Utah, Don lived most of his life in Minnesota and San Diego where he was employed at the San Diego Tribune.
Don was a faithful member of the Mt. View Baptist Church. He enjoyed music, reading, gardening, sports and traveling; especially to San Diego.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo; sons, Kenneth (Barbara) Greenman, Terry (Joni) Greenman, and John Greenman; daughters, Jan (Jim) Riley, Joni (Phil) Stephenson, Julie Simpson, and Jill (Sam) Snodgrass; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
