Glory met and married L. C. Roper and they reared a lovely family. She loved Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 where she was a member, and sang in the choir. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching football with her husband and sons.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Clementine and Jesse Kidd; mother and father-in-law, Wes and Dennie Nell Roper; two brothers, Leroy Kidd and Jessie Kidd; nephew, Kenny Kidd; aunt, Nellie Mae England, Gladys Pugh, Pearlean Bumpers, Norma Baldwin, Evelyn Bumpers, Inez Baldwin and Idzella Baldwin; uncle, Waverly Baldwin; three sisters-in-law, Della Creighton, Roberta Creighton, and Reva Williams; and three brothers-in-law, Joseph Roper, Levan Roper, and John Roper.
Left to forever cherish her precious memories are her loving husband, L. C. Roper; four sons, Edward Roper, Toddtown, AL, Rodney Roper, Demopolis, AL, Marion Roper, Phenix City, AL, and Jeremy Roper, Grove Hill, AL; seven grandchildren, Jasmine Roper, Rodney Roper Jr., Jayla Roper, Myla Roper, Tyshawn Roper, Peyton Roper, and Brittany Thornton; one great grandchild; Tyler D’angelo Roper, four sisters, Gwen Kidd, Betty Kidd, Cora Kidd of Grove Hill, and Gladys Kidd, all of Winn, AL; four brothers, Dewayne Baldwin and Tommy Kidd, both of Winn, AL, and Tyrone Kidd, Chatom, AL, Dennis Jones Daphne, AL.; three sisters-in-law: Thelma (Johnny) Henry, Hilbert (Maragett) Roper and Gloria (Willie) Smiley all of Toddtown, AL, one uncle, Melvin Baldwin, Macon, GA; two godchildren JaQueze Kidd and Keanda Henry a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
