Gloria Thompson Chatom, a resident of Semmes, departed this life on Saturday, April 26, 2014. God has certainly gained an earthly angel. Mrs. Chatom is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Addie Mae Thompson; her husband, Clarence “Red” Chatom, her daughter, Angela Williams; her siblings, Carloyn Hicks, Gerald Thompson; and her grandson Mac Chatom. Mrs. Chatom is survived by her three sons, Jere, Wayne, and Mark (Phebe) Chatom, her brother, Ronny (Johnnie) Thompson; and five grandchildren, Joseph Sikes, Jessica Chatom, Jordan Lawler, Amanda McLaughlin, and Donnie Smith.
