Our beautiful and courageous mom Gloria Tipping, age 75 passed away peacefully at home on, October 24th, 2022. She fought a very tough battle with cancer for 5 years. During that fight, she never once lost her kind heart, her strong love for family or her sense of humor, that continued right up to her last day.

She was born on May 25th, 1947 in Brigham City, Utah to Raul Serna and Juanita Serna. Mom grew up in Corinne and later lived in San Francisco, Brigham City and Ogden. She was a beautician for several years, she also worked at American Greetings until it closed and then at Autoliv until she retired. She enjoyed camping in the Uintah’s, going to Wendover and family get togethers.

Mom was lucky enough to have 2 soulmates in her lifetime, our dad Florentino Ayala Jr, whom she married on Dec 2nd 1966 and our bonus dad, Burdell Tipping, whom she married on January 25th 1984.

She is survived by her kids, Elena Ayala, Damian Ayala (Diane), Scott Payne, bonus kids Janet Lind, Tammy(Terry)Yates, Shannon Tipping, Erin(Jeff)Smith, Matthew(Krystal)Tipping, brothers Raul(Dayna)Serna, Ramon(Paula)Serna, 6 grandkids, 4 great grandkids, many bonus grandkids, bonus great grandkids and several other family members who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raul and Juanita Serna, her 2 soulmates, Florentino and Burdell, her daughter Sonya Ayala, her bonus son Steve Tipping and twin grandkids Skyler and Ciera Rock. Gloria was not only a mom, a sister, an aunt and a grandma she was a friend to many, our angel and the rock of the family. We are blessed to have her continue to be our angel now that she has gone to be with God. On the day she passed, she was happily reunited with our family in heaven, what a wonderful reunion I’m sure that was for her. She was an amazing grandma, her grandkids were her life, they meant everything to her. Mom had a smile that would light up a room, a wicked sense of humor and a huge heart that she shared with everyone. She will be missed dearly.

We would like to thank Dr Stinnett, the nurses and all his amazing staff there who took such good care of our mom and loved her like family. We would also like to thank the team at Rocky Mountain hospice for their care and kindness with our family. A big thanks also goes to our Uncle Raul, Aunt Dayna, Uncle Mon and Aunt Paula for all your help, love and support it means more than you know.

We think about you always, we talk about you still, you have not been forgotten and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will always remain to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again. Remember nobody loves you like we do.
