Cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Gloria Rose Sawyer passed away on November 7, 2022, at the age of 93 surrounded by her family at Brooksby Village in Peabody. Everyone who met Gloria could not help but fall in love with her warm smile, friendly personality, exquisite baking, and delicious peach pie.
Gloria was born on October 6,1929 to Daniel Otis Rose and Mary Frances Hodgins in Portland, Maine where she lived throughout her entire childhood. She had three older siblings: Mabel Frances, Agnes Emily and Daniel Otis Rose, Jr. who she adored throughout her life. During her senior year at Deering High School, Gloria met the love of her life Charles, who she affectionately referred to as Norton.
