Gloria Matney, 88, Anderson, passed away on December 19, 2021, at Alexandria Care Center in Alexandria. She was born on January 4, 1933, in Anderson, the daughter of George and Katherine Hexamer. Gloria graduated from St. Mary’s High School and attended Notre Dame University. She was a real estate agent for 20 years and retired from the City of Orlando after 10 years. Gloria was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, always trying to find the best deals. She had a great sense of humor. Gloria is survived by her husband, Patrick Matney, whom she married on July 7, 1984; her children, Terri Rasmussen (Glenn), Lake City, FL, David Hinkle, Chesterfield, Gina Hinkle, Anderson, Joel Hinkle (Daphne), Chesterfield, and Kimberly Hinkle, Anderson; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Earl Hexamer, Alexandria, Danny Hexamer (Sandy), Sulphur Springs, and Bill Hexamer, Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Tyler David Hinkle, her brothers, George Hexamer, Mike Hexamer, and Doug Hexamer, and her sister, Jeannene Wood.
