Gloria M. Nazaretta (nee Fortunato), 90 of Holidays Heights section of Berkeley Township died on Sunday May 27, 2012 at her home. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, she lived in Belleville, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1988. She is a parishioner at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, NJ.
She is a former member of the Holiday Heights bowling, shuffleboard and bocce club, the Women’s Card Circle, and poker club in Newark. She enjoyed knitting, reading and watching soap operas. Gloria was an avid bus traveler to Atlantic City for those poker machines. She is predeceased by her husband Louis R. in 2006 and her son-in-law Mario Papa Jr. in 2011.
Surviving is her daughters Marianne Nazaretta and Christine Papa and one granddaughter Jennifer and her husband Keith Errickson all of Brick, NJ. Her brother Ernest Fortunato and his wife Patty of Whippany, NJ and sister Norma Fortunato of Nutley, NJ. She always put her family before herself and loved us all deeply. Her family loved her and feels her loss very much.
