Gloria Lorraine Long
September 8, 1934 – November 3, 2014
Gloria left this earth on Monday, November 3, 2014 to be reunited with her loved ones in the kingdom of her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family.
She was born Gloria Lorraine Glorfield on September 8, 1934 in Spokane, Washington to Albert and Mamie Glorfield.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband James Long, longtime companion Lyle Roundy, father Albert, mother Mamie, and sister Janet Van Every. Brothers Roland (Linda) Glorfield and Paul (Charlotte) Glorfield, brother in law Judson Van Every as well as numerous nieces and nephews still reside in Idaho.
Gloria grew up and attended school in Rupert, Idaho and spent years at St Luke’s Medical Center as a housekeeping supervisor.
Gloria married Jim Long and together they raised 5 children, Robert Banks, Deann and Tim Mills, Michael and Lisa Banks, Mitch Banks, and Crystal and Brent Jensen. Grandchildren were the joy of Gloria’s life she was blessed with 14 grandchildren as well as 9 great grandchildren. She was a beautiful, kind, loving and giving person. All who knew Gloria thought the world of her and she was a wonderful example to her family and we are grateful for all she taught and did for each of us.
After the passing of Jim she reunited with Lyle Roundy, a childhood friend and they enjoyed one another’s company for many years before his passing earlier this year.
