Gloria Lewis, 77, of New Buffalo, Michigan died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at her home. Gloria was born June 12, 1934 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Charles and Ethel (Fitzgerald) Gordon. On June 15, 1950 she married Dale Lewis in Valparaiso, Indiana. She and Dale purchased a farm in New Buffalo.
Gloria was a hard worker, taking care of her family and home along with many chores around the farm. She spent her days surrounded by the natural beauty of the landscape and the many hummingbirds visiting her feeders. She grew many things on the farm and loved tending her flower gardens. Gloria enjoyed ceramics and was a talented painter.
Survivors include her children, Kevin Lewis and his wife Linda of Three Oaks, Michigan; Karen Lewis of New Buffalo and Juanita Braden and her husband Tom of New Buffalo; grandchildren, Michelle, Noel Marie, Johnathon, Adam, Angella, Tyra, Kathrine, Charles and Daryl; great grandchildren, Mark, Maryellen, Ambriyana, Mercede, Alexis, Damien, Angelina and Aiden and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Terrie Klettke and Valerie Ann Lowery, and by her husband Dale.
